01 Nozzle type
Generally, laser cutting nozzles are divided into single and double layers. Single-layer nozzles are used for melting and cutting, that is, nitrogen is used as auxiliary gas. They are usually used for cutting stainless steel, aluminum alloy, brass, etc.; double-layer nozzles are generally used for oxidation cutting, namely Use oxygen as an auxiliary gas, usually used for cutting carbon steel.
02 Nozzle size
The diameter of the nozzle determines the shape of the gas flow entering the incision, the gas diffusion percentage, and the gas flow rate, which affects the removal of melt and the stability of cutting. The air flow entering the incision is large, the speed is fast, and the position of the workpiece in the air flow is proper, the stronger the spraying ability to remove the molten material. Generally, when a laser cutting machine is used to cut thin plates below 3mm, it is recommended to choose a nozzle with a diameter of 1mm, and a nozzle with a diameter of 1.5mm is recommended for a thickness of 3mm or more. For cutting metal sheets of 10mm or more, nozzles with a diameter of 2mm or more are generally selected.
03 Nozzle material
For a good nozzle, the material must have high electrical conductivity and good thermal conductivity. Generally, a copper nozzle is better than a brass nozzle, which can ensure a good capacitance signal.
Therefore, we have to choose the nozzle size according to the laser power used and the thickness of the sheet; theoretically, the thicker the sheet, the larger the nozzle should be used, the greater the proportional valve setting pressure and the greater the flow rate, in order to cut the normal section effect. The high-precision concentric nozzle can not only reduce the pre-debugging in the processing process, but also effectively prevent the high-energy laser from hitting the inner wall of the laser head, thereby avoiding damage to the laser head.
